Overview
Joan’s Home is a 501c3 transitional housing facility, for women and children, fleeing from domestic violence or sex trafficking situations. We provide resources such as emergency temporary housing, long-term housing assistance, job interviewing skills and resume writing. Also, providing mental and physical healthcare assistance for these women to independently re-enter society with confidence.
Services Provided
Each individual that enters our facility, will complete an intake exam with one of our licensed specialists , that includes an inquiry form, which will allow us to create an individualized plan of action to allow them to regain their independence.
We cover a Variety of services but typically:
- Housing assistance through Shelter Plus
- Resume writing and job interviewing classes will be provided weekly
- Group and individual therapy and counseling sessions will be available
- 24/7 access to an on-call nurse
- Transportation to and from appointments and interviews
- Educational assistance (for GED, High School diploma, or continuing education)
- Resource center, providing WiFi & computers for use
